The Gamaksan Suspension Bridge located in Paju city of Gyeonggi province is over 220m long and 10m high. The suspension bridge is accessible to get to and does not require a hike and offers a stunning scenery including the wooden broad walk along the beautiful lake. The official name of the bridge is
“Gloucester Heroes Bridge” and is dedicated to the 1st Battalion Gloucester Regiment of the British Army who fought in the Korean War. During winters, the surrounding areas are covered in powdery white snow. A stunning place to witness, this bridge leaves you in awe.

When I’m lost and confused
When my head hurts and I’m tired
You take all my pain away, go away
Your touch heals all my scars
I only ran forward
So when I clash against reality
You become my path
혼란스럽다 - to be confused
지치다 - to become tired
아픔 - pain/ ache
아물다 - to heal
손길 - hand / touch
부딪히다 - to be bumped into/ run against

Cha Hyun is a reclusive high school student who spends his days holed up in his room playing video games. But when he loses his entire family in a tragic car accident, he is forced to leave his home and carefree lifestyle behind and move into a new apartment all by himself. However, his pesky neighbors and lack of money soon become the least of his worries as people around him suddenly begin turning into horrifying monsters, plunging the world into apocalyptic chaos.

The situation takes a turn for the worse when Hyun realizes that he himself is slowly turning into a monster, while a mysterious voice in his head grows louder and louder. With his time running out, Hyun must work together with his fellow tenants to uncover the cause of the outbreak and find a way to survive in this hopeless new world, all the while fighting to retain his humanity.

Korean Cultural Centre India launched a special project called 'Discovering Kulture' to explore the boom of the Korean Wave in India. Through this video series we will try to understand more about the circumstances that led to Hallyu or the Korean Wave becoming such a global phenomenon.
We will try to interview individuals and organizations working at the epicenter of this boom to gain better knowledge of the socio-economic conditions that aided in Korean culture becoming so widespread.

In this first episode, we looked into Korean food in India. We interviewed various Korean restaurant and cafe owners to see what made India such a viable market for them and also ask what they thought of the sudden explosion of Korean culture. We also spoke to Ms. Aarushi Garg, winner of the Korean Culinary Challenge to understand the interest in Korean cuisine from an Indian perspective.

We hope our effort proves successful and helps you understand a little bit more about the Korean Wave! Do stay tuned for future episodes!

We would like to sincerely thank the following restaurants and cafe's for being a part of our video:
