K-Insider Challenge 2023 “Taekwondo Championship Vlog Challenge”, Result Announcement, 1.3 Million views, 22K likes

Korean Cultural Centre India announced its first K-Insider Challenge of 2023 edition on 17th February. The challenge was to make a Vlog of the coveted “All India Inter SAI Taekwondo Championship 2023” which was co-hosted by Korean Cultural Centre India and Sports Authority of India in celebration of 50 years of Korea and India diplomatic relations from 24th Feb. to 26th Feb. 2023 at the K.D. Jadhav Indoor Wrestling Hall, Indira Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi.

The K-Insider Vlog Challenge’s participation period lasted from 24th to 28th Feb. The event was conducted in total of two rounds where in the first round KCCI official shortlisted 9 vlogs based on content and creativity. The shortlisted vlogs were then posted across all the SNS platform of KCCI for round 2 where the final winners were selected based on the number of likes and views on their Vlogs. The evaluation period lasted from 2 March to 8 March 2023 and saw the challenge accumulating enormous viewership of 1,324,402 and accumulated a total of 22,656 number of likes.

The 1st prize winner who will get Rs. 20,000/- and a Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, Kunal Kumar’s Vlog, gained an impressive 10,26,764 viewership and 7,156 number of likes. This was followed by Dev Bahadur’s vlog entry which had 1,51,582 viewership and 5,409 likes, and who will receive Rs. 10,000/- and Galaxy Buds Pro. The 3rd prize winner, Shekh Sajid also saw an impressionable 63,273 views and 2,755 likes on his vlog and will be given Rs. 5,000/- + Love yourself BTS Album as prize.

Hwang Il Yong, the Director of Korean Cultural Centre India said “Despite the limited number of entries, the high viewership and engagement rate of this challenge can be attributed to the ever-increasing popularity and interest in Korean culture. This K-insider challenge was carefully designed keeping in mind the interests of the MZ Generation in internet and social media. This challenge allowed the participants to show off their creative, progressive, and dynamic styles through social media—which in turn also shows how SNS can be put up to creative use.”
