India’s biggest Korean culture festival, Rang De Korea, to shake up whole India
-Korean Cultural Centre India holds festival encompassing all genres including K-music, beauty, food, fashion, crafts, and play
-NTX, Uuheeska, Balkwang, Pax Arari, Ha Minwoo, Korean representative performance content
-The semi-finals of the 14th All India K-Pop Contest with LG will also be held together
Korean Cultural Centre India is planning to hold the 3rd Rang De Korea, Korean Cultural Festival event at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Auditorium in New Delhi on the 18th (Fri) and 19th (Sat) October.
The event will be a megaton-level festival event encompassing various genres of content such as K-beauty, K-food, K-fashion, K-snack, K-craft and K-play with performing artists representing Korean culture, alternating between indoor performance hall and outdoor plazas of the venue. The semi-finals of the 14th All India K-Pop Contest, exclusively sponsored by LG Electronics India, will be continued on the evening of the second day.
Performance groups presenting the 1. NTX and 2.Ha Minwoo, 3. Fusion Concert's Uuheeska, a modern reinterpretation of Korea's traditional comedy play, 4. Balkwang, who created an action comedy using Taekkyeon, a traditional Korean martial art, and 5. Pax Arari, who creates an ensemble by combining traditional Korean instruments and piano. All of them are excited and looking forward to meeting Indian fans as they perform for the first time in India.
NTX, who debuted in March 2021 and is known as a rising rookie star, has been actively expanding overseas through overseas tours in Brazil, the United States, and Japan this year and will be visiting India this time. For K-pop fans, there is also a ‘Fan Meet and Greet’ event scheduled with NTX at 4:50 pm on October 18 and at 1 pm on October 19.
Ha Minwoo debuted as a member of ZE:A (Children of Empire), a nine-member male K-pop group, in 2010, and has since performed various entertainment activities including starring in musicals and web dramas, before releasing a single album titled 'Let's Be Happy' in 2020. Since then, he has also been active as a K-pop solo artist.
The 'Ninano Concert', which will be presented by the theater company Uuheeska, is a modern recreation of the traditional Korean play containing dance, song, and stories of the common people. It was well recognised after participating as a representative of Korea at the World Sound Festival and World Music Festival held in Korea. Since receiving the award, it has continued to perform overseas, including in the United States and Australia.
The troupe, Balkwang is a performance group based on Taekkyeon, a traditional Korean martial art which is the world's first martial art and has been registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The performance, 'Let's go to see fighting' is a Korean traditional action comedy showcasing the sparring story using Korean traditional content such as Taekkyeon, rhythm, cheering, Burna (Korean traditional spinning top).
Pax Arari is a performance group that combines piano and traditional Korean instruments. Arari is a local folk song from Jeongseon, Korea. The identity of the group with this name, Arari is that the newly recreated culture based on the most local elements can create a new world of music that can be sympathized with all over the world.
At the outdoor plaza attached to the event's indoor hall, an experience space will be created where one can experience various Korean Wave contents such as Korean ramen, snacks, beauty, food, Hanbok (Korean Traditional Cloth), crafts, and especially K-pop and K-dramas. Korean cultural content companies operating in India, such as LG, Samyang, and Orion, participate in introducing and promoting their products, as well as the communities and small businesses formed by local Korean culture fans in India (Korikart, Haru World, K Fandom Store, Indian K-Pop). The various Korean cultural products and contents presented at each designated place and booth are expected to captivate the five senses of local visitors.
Korean Cultural Centre India continues the ‘14th All India K-Pop Contest Semifinals’ as the final highlight event on the evening of the second day of the festival with with the event being planned under the brand ‘India’s Biggest Korean Culture Festival.’ At this event, 27 teams and 89 talented Indian youngsters in the K-pop song and dance category who have been selected through the first online preliminary round and 11 major cities in India regional preliminary rounds will compete for their love of K-pop and their K-Pop skills.

This event has been prepared to demonstrate the excellence of original Korean culture and Korean Cultural Wave content.
