Recruitment of Participants for 2022 Training Course for Korean Language Teachers at King Sejong Institute

In order to secure Korean language teachers stably and to support the improvement of the competence of experienced Korean language teachers, we, King Sejong Institute Korean Cultural Centre India , will operate the “2022 Training Course for Korean Language Teachers at King Sejong Institute” as follows and hope many interested candidates will participate.

1. Overview
A. Institute : Korean Cultural Centre India King Sejong Institute(cooperation with Korea University)
B. Period : August to November 2022
C. Target : Among teachers and prospective teachers at King Sejong Institute, those selected from
the screening process (See “2. Selection of participants“ for details
D. Recruitment : 5~25 participants
E. Content : Training Course for Korean Language Teachers at King Sejong Institute(120 hours)
and related special lectures

F. Method : Online course + offline practice*
* The offline practice will be conducted face-to-face or non-face-to-face in consideration of the availability of face-to- face education related to the COVID-19 situation in the region, and the method will be decided after separate consultation with KSIF.
G. Support
- Free provision of all courses
- Issuance of a certificate under the name of the chairman of the foundation upon completion of the course
2. Selection of participants
A. Eligibility for participation : A person who is able to participate in the whole course
1) For King Sejong Institute teachers : A person who meets all of the following requirements
- "One with experience in Korean language education" among qualification types of King Sejong Institute Korean language teachers
- At least one year working at King Sejong Institute (must be registered in NBMS)
- A person who has Level 6 or higher Korean proficiency (For non-native speakers)
2) For local prospective teacher : A person who meets the following requirements
- A person who has Level 4 or higher Korean proficiency* (For non-native speakers)
[Korean language proficiency certification] ▶ Submission of certificates: Submit Korean Language Proficiency Certificate when applying for participation ▶ Certificate A. King Sejong Institute teachers: Certificate of Level 6 of TOPIK or certificate for the completion of Advanced Course at King Sejong Institute B. Local prospective teachers: Certificate of Level 4 of TOPIK or certificate for the completion of Intermediate 2 course at King Sejong Institute * If the documentation is incomplete, it can be verified after taking TOPIK ▶ Take the Korean language proficiency test (simplified) ※ Take the test when the test report is expired or there is none, -Assessment schedule: July 2022 (A detailed schedule will be notified separately) -Assessment method: Online speaking test via ZOOM -Assessor: specialized instructor -Assessment procedure ① Indicate whether to take the test in the Application Form ② The assessment details will be guided through individual e-mails of applicants ③ Test at a designated date and time: 15 to 20 minutes per testee -Assessment: Based on eligibility A.
