2024 Study in Korea Fair





Join us at the “Study in Korea Fair 2024” to embark on a journey of academic exploration and cultural enrichment! Discover the opportunities awaiting you in Korea, connect with industry experts and alumni, and take the first step towards a rewarding educational experience abroad.


Introduction

The Study in Korea 2024 is a special event aimed at promoting bilateral education and cultural exchange between Korea and India. Organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) and supported by the University of Delhi, this fair serves as a bridge for Indian students aspiring to pursue higher education in Korea, showcasing the diverse academic opportunities, scholarship programs, and cultural richness of Korean

universities.


As of the latest data, there are a total of 1,479 Indian students studying in Korea. They include 186 students in language courses, 206 students enrolled in bachelor’s degree programs, 354 students working toward their master’s degrees, and 675 students engaged in doctoral studies. With an increasing number of Indian students considering Korea as a favorable destination for overseas education, the future holds promise for expanding educational exchanges and fostering stronger bonds between Korea and India.


Objectives

- Promote Korean Higher Education: Highlight the academic excellence and wide array of programs offered by Korean universities, encouraging talented Indian students to consider Korea as a destination for higher studies.

- Facilitate Bilateral Exchange: Foster closer educational ties between Korea and India through direct interaction between students, educators, and representatives from both countries.

- Showcase Scholarship Opportunities: Provide detailed information on scholarship programs such as the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) and other funding options from the universities for Indian students.

- Cultural Exchange: Promote cross-cultural understanding and appreciation through cultural performances and interactions with visitors.


Key Features

- Opening Ceremony: Formal inauguration to mark the beginning of the fair, featuring distinguished guests and keynote addresses, followed by cultural performances.

- University Booths: Representatives from 16 Korean universities will showcase their programs, admissions processes, and campus life to prospective Indian students and

educators.

- Spotlight Showcase: Each participating university will have the opportunity to present its unique offerings and strengths, attracting Indian students interested in specialized fields.

- Collaboration Corner: A dedicated space for educational institutions from both countries to explore partnership opportunities, fostering academic collaboration, joint research initiatives, and student and faculty exchange programs.

- GKS Alumni Stories: Indian Alumni who have studied in Korea through the GKS program will share their experiences, offering insights into academic life and cultural adaptation.
