2023 Quiz o­­n Korea – Indian Preliminaries Announcement

The Korean Cultural Centre India is happy to announce the Indian Preliminary Round for the 2023 Quiz on Korea!

The Quiz on Korea is an annual game show that tests how much general knowledge participants have about South Korea. The final round of Quiz on Korea takes place in South Korea and is broadcast by KBS, with representatives from participating countries competing for the final prize.

The winner of the Indian Preliminary Round will go to South Korea in September 2023 to represent India in the Final Round, which will be recorded at KBS.

Date and Time: 10 June 2023 (Saturday), 10:30 AM

Location: JNU Convention Centre

Registration: Through Google Forms at https://forms.gle/L8sZCwNRvcUwK3qv9 (until 11:59 pm on 20th May 2023)

• ◆Please note that if we receive more registrations than the maximum number, we will FIRST hold an online round to select the participants for the in-person preliminary round.

Participant Requirements:

• -Participants must be 18 or older.

• -The participant or their immediate family must NOT have Korean nationality or citizenship.

• -Participants must have interest in Korea and proficiency in Korean, as the final round will take place in Korean without any translations.

• -Participants must be able to travel to Korea September 3 – September 11 for the final round of Quiz on Korea.

Quiz Format: The quiz will take place in a Golden Bell format. Participants will be asked a series of questions, and those who give wrong answers will be eliminated after every question. The questions will continue until one winner is left.

Winners will receive the following prizes:

1^st place: Samsung watch and an all expenses paid trip to South Korea for the Final Round.

2^nd place: Samsung Buds

3^rd place: BTS or Blackpink album
