Korean Cultural Centre India announces the beginning of All India K-Pop Contest 2022

Korean Cultural Centre India announces the start of the K-POP India Contest 2022 and invites K-POP fans and supporters from pan India to participate in the Contest. The event will last about four months from April to July.
Since the opening of the Korean Cultural Centre in 2012, the event has been held annually without exception. The K-Pop India Contest is one of the representative events conducted by the Centre. And in the current year, the contest will be held as part of the 10th Anniversary celebration of the Korean Cultural Centre India. In 2021, the contest was held online as well and saw a participation of 3,664 people (Vocal: 1,863 / Dance: 1,801) from 20 cities across India.
Starting with the Online Round (First Preliminary) of the 2022 edition from April 4 (Monday) till April 28 (Thursday) by 11 AM. Only the winners of the Online Round will get the opportunity to participate in the Regional Round (Second Preliminary) to be hosted Online through Youtube live streaming by 20 cities across India. Following which, 1 Vocal and 1 Dance winner from all 20 cities will get to participate in the Final Round on 9th April to be conducted by youtube live streaming. In the current year through the K-POP India Contest, Korean Cultural Centre India is hoping to apply for the K-POP World Festival and is hopeful for selection.
The Director of Korean Cultural Centre India, Hwang Il-yong, said, "Currently, K-Pop is becoming a genre in the pop scene. There are many K-Pop fans in India, who participate in the annual contest.
